If there is something of interest on this site and not on the Fine Art
America site, please inform me and I will post a file for print.
Nature is my
inspiration. I see the beauty of natures design, appreciating the aspects of natural pattern, form and texture and trying
to incorporate its energy into a stimulating visual. I am a self taught painter and ceramicist. I love the exploration of
trying to create something and leaving some of it to happenstance. My career
in the printing and graphic arts industry has influenced my techniques and perceptions. I am drawn to the printing process,
as with my digital embellished monoprints. I was influenced by my exposure to ULAE and their well known affiliated artists.
Our printing company did a number of limited edition prints for them. My favorite was Robert Rauschenburg. He made me see
that a single image can appear more in its company and contrast than a single painted one. Not having a litho press withstanding,
I explore a unique way to transfer imaging to paper. The art of photography,
composing imaging, and lithography is what intrigues me now. I would describe myself as eclectic in styles but always exploring.
Exploration is the key to discovery and I have yet to find my ultimate expression.
